About Peter Sutherland
Peter Sutherland is a New York City based artist. His work employs some of the techniques of traditional documentary photography to capture the hidden beauty of ordinary objects and everyday situations. He has released several publications and films, most recently Buck Shots (powerHouse Books) and Tierney Gearon: The Mother Project (Zeitgeist Films).
Sutherland has shown in group exhibitions at Rivington Arms and Guild and Greyskull in New York, Circleculture Gallery in Berlin, V1 Gallery in Copenhagen, and the travelling Tiny Vices show curated by Tim Barber. He has had solo exhibitions at Someday Gallery in Melbourne, MU in Eindhoven, and Gallery White Room in Tokyo.
